How long will the geforce 7900 gs last?

I'm buying a new gpu (currently have intergrated) and I'm looking to spend about $150. I've been seeing them for as low as $130. I would want to play games at atleast 30 fps on high settings (no aa/af if nessecary) do you think it'll last until next summer? Possibly winter? How long will the geforce 7900 gs last?
What resolution are you planning to play at, and what power supply do you have?As for the 7900GS, it's an excellent card and should last you at least another year but most likely longer on medium settings. How long will the geforce 7900 gs last?
what games do u like to play? iam pretty sure the GS will last alot longer then that. i think Quake wars will run maxed out on a 7900GS. for dx10 might be on low/med settings
I'm buying a new psu with it and I plan on playing at 1280 x 1024 and maybe 1680 x 1050 when i buy a new monitor.
it will last you as long as you want it to last there's no more direct 9 cards coming out so it should last in till games become direct 10 only with either high settings or medium with a few things on high
Well if you are buying a new PSU with it, go with an X1950Pro or X1950XT (probably the best DX9 card you can find fairly easily nowadays).
theres one one newegg for $134 man, i forget either its the PRO or the XT either way its a great deal. also u get a rebate with it 20 dollars, very good deal

For the extra 20$ you get better performance :| the X1950PRO is better in alot of ways

could be $20 to many  or not
well don't settle for anything lower than 512mb of vram, trust me you won't regret it. a 7900GS also overclocks very well, so make sure it has a decent cooler on and covers the ram. I have seen people Vmod them and oc to 700mhz.

an overclocked 7900GS especially with 512 mb of vram will last you pretty long and play lots of new games especially at 1280x1024.

the 1950 pro is good but it doesn't OC well.

^this card is great, it is pre overclocked, and it has 512mb vram. when it starts to show its age just OC it further. at580mhz core this card hould be on par with a 7950GT, but $100 less.
dude you dont need 512mb unless you are at a res higher than 1200x1000 or maybe even higher res. The only reason I got a 512mb ver of my X1950XT is for crysis so I can set the texures on ultra(idk if it can but high is good enough :) ) if your on a buget 256mb is FINE
