Are your graphic card driver's up to date on the new HDD?
yeah i just went into nvidia and downloaded the latest drivers, and i installed driver detect, it says i have the latest video drivers, tho some other things are out of date, dont know if they matter tho, stuff like lan, mouse, and something else,,anyone know how to check ur specs of the gpu???maybe mine broke??

ok well i had vista premium before and got a score of around 9000 , same graphics card on a e6400 clocked at 3.2 ghznow i'm gettin around 3000 on a vista home basic, with the same graphics card on a e6600 clocked at 3.4 ghz,i dont get it, is there a diff between vista home premium and basic???cant be that much of a difference in score,, every other component is the same, i used a 965p ds3 mobo,on the pc i got 9k score i had a 600 w posu. and 2 gig ddr2 ram at 667,on the new pc where i get 3k score i have a 550 cooler master extream power psu and 2 gig ddr2 800 corsair ram,
uninstall graphics drivers and reinstall
You Runned 3D mark05 with E6400 %26 3D mark06 with E6600 ?
MEMtest and RMA the gpu
what is memtest and rma ???and please explain the process of how to check please?no i didnt use 3dmark 05, my scores should be consistent at around 9k with my setup, not 3k,,
google memtest and send your gpu back to manufacturer cause its obviosuly something wrong with it
Test to see if your CPU is stable.
ok,, well i went into bios and put the fsb to the original 267mhz , and ran 3dmark again and got 8937, so any reason why i cant overclock to 376mhz fsb?ok,, what should my settings be,, i have consiar 2 gig ddr2 800mhz ram, but i cant put the fsb to 400 because my pc wont start,, any other settings i should try?
Probably a limitation on your motherboard. Just raise the multiplier and try to keep the FSB lower, don't worry about the 1:1 ratio, it's nice but I think it's safer for you to have a stable system.
