Well first of all intel is having another price drop on july 22. Dont get that mobo. Get a P35 because they will support the new 45nm processors when they come out. If your doing this big of an overhaul do not get a 7950GT. Get a DX10 card. since you are getting vista. There would be no point for vista if you didnt have a DX10 card. Atleast get a 8800GTS 320mb.is this a good gaming rig?
Pretty good, just change the HDD to sata, and I would advise going with a X1950XT instead of that 7950GT if you absolutely insist on going with anything lower than a 8800gts. Also if you don't have a DX10 card, really what is there to Vista, other than the shiny interface?

i cant go to a 8800gts cuz its too expensive i need something lower like a 8600gts or something...
i cant go to a 8800gts cuz its too expensive i need something lower like a 8600gts or something...
Then just grab XP, and the X1950XT, it beats the 7950GT.SAPPHIRE 100186L Radeon X1950XT 256MB GDDR3 PCI Express x16 VIVO HDCP Video Card - RetailAlso, you may want to grab a P35 like that one user stated.
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813131180 if ur talking about this mobo? is horrible LOL
theres no point of going xp.....i want to upgrade to vista and get a 9x so in the future ill just get a 10x card and ill get that card..
What's so horrible about it?

i just read the comments :P
the board i picked is good isnt it?
nah i would say get a 7600GT for now and wait for prices too drop, theres really no point in spending that much on those cards if they're not dx10 xD
the board i picked is good isnt it?
thats a really week card i rather get a 7800gs
Not all the P35 boards are out yet. There only a few. Heres the page with all the P35 MOBO. http://www.newegg.com/Product/ProductList.aspx?Submit=ENE%26N=2010200280+107172277%26name=Intel+P35+series
- Change HDD to SATAII interface.- WS 19'' isn't worth it. The screen becomes to short vertically. Also, try and get another brand like Chimei/Acer/ASUS/Viewsonic/Dell.- The sound card isn't worth it at your budget. Integrated sound on a good mobo should provide you with good enough sound.- This PSU is better: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817341001- That mobo and chipset is rubbish, considering the alternatives. It runs hot, doesn't overclock well and you DEFINITELY won't be using SLi. Get this instead http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813128050- Change video card to an X1950 GT or cheaper, or save up a bit more for the 8800GTS 320MB. If you're really desperate, go for an EVGA 7600GT now and 'Step Up' to an 8800GTS 320MB when you have the money.- Wheres your RAM?
These are a bargain atm: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820231065 Oh, if you're really strapped for cash, drop your CPU to this and overclock it to 2.4GHz or 3GHz (don't worry, the stock HSF will handle it): http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819116036
