sorry for all the PSU topics but.........................

how is this PSU that I found from Antec.its got 500 Watts, 36 amps on the 12V rails, modular cabling supportAlso, what do you think are the chances that I'll get my MIR?sorry for all the PSU topics but.........................
What are you using on it? sorry for all the PSU topics but.........................
Avoid Antec's Smartpower line, they are Antec's cheapest and lowest quality line.
What are you using on it?
im not using a very power hungry system right now, but I just want it to last me through future upgrades.what do you think would be the best GFX card it could power if my system has the following?CPU: Intel Core 2 duo E6300 without any OCing
RAM: 2GB Kingston ValueRAM DDR2667 (PC2-5300) with no OCing
Hard drive: 1 SATA 7200 RPM 250 GB WD Caviar Hard drive
Optical drive: 1 DVD burner
1 80MM case fan
here is a better psu http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817189013
would that power an 8800 GTS?
Yeah.
Yeah.
but the antec has more wattage, more amperage, more cables, and is only a few dollars more, and thats before the MIRwould the Antec power an 8800 GTS, or maybe a GTX (sorry for the repitition)
The XCLIO Stablepower 460W has active PFC, a single 140mm fan instead of two weaker/louder 80mm fans, and isn't widely known as ''crap''
The XCLIO Stablepower 460W has active PFC, a single 140mm fan instead of two weaker/louder 80mm fans, and isn't widely known as ''crap''
wait, is the Antec smartpower ''crap''ah, crap!!!:(
well, if that xclio PSU is good, then how is this other PSU from xclio?also, would the 460 Watt xclio that you (Hiryuu_) posted be able to power an 8800 GTX?
Actually, SiKh22 posted the power supply for you. It's the same as the Stablepower 460W, only it's (obviously) 500Ws and it comes with two PCI-e x16 connectors which you'd need to power an 8800GTX.You could just use the molex to 6-pin adapter that comes with the 8800GTX if you get the Stablepower 460W though, since the 460W only comes with a single 6-pin PCI-e connector. Both power supplies would power an 8800GTX, hell if you got a good enough 400W then you could run an 8800GTX.

the 460 is more then enough, the 8800GTS doesnt draw crazy power has u might be thinking. but if u want the 500watt sure, id go wtih the 460. dont worry about it, if u got the moeny go with the 500Watt, its the same with more watts and 2x Pcix16 connectors.
I mean its enough for the 8800GTX, the 2x pci x16 connectors is the benefit, but its not like u them. the company will give u the molex converter, so u should be set

Im not actually getting it, I just want a PSU I can keep through future upgrades
