computer restarting! need help desperatly!

i was playing fear and then black screen, video card fan goes on full blast, then 5 long beeps, then restart. after that it goes through the bios screens and does the same thing over again. i have to shut it off for 5 mins and then turn it back on for it to work again.computer restarting! need help desperatly!
That sounds like a classic example of either overheating or driver problems.Consult your motherboard manual for the status alarm (beeping).computer restarting! need help desperatly!
Definitely sounds like overheating to me. Try monitoring your temps and running 3DMark 06 or some other graphic-intensive application.
It was crashing with Counter Strike Source and BF2 and now FEAR. I have all of the fans set up to 100% and it still does it. the video card isn''t very hot to the touch or even warm at that.
Hmm... It may not just be your video card you know... It could be the CPU or RAM. Let me ask you this did you just build the system?

Try monitoring temps and see if any programs are automatically turning off the PC when temps reach a certain threshold..
Did you read your Motherboard guid? The alarm usualy tells you somthing
My motherboard manual doesn't say anything about beeping it only says how to install it then it says how to install it in a bunch of different languages.

Download Speed Fan or Everest Ultimate Edition and post your temps here.
Download Speed Fan or Everest Ultimate Edition and post your temps here.
I can't :( It wont boot windows without the black screen. yesterday it was about 42C idle and 55C in game.
sounds like a psu problem to me, because same thing happened to me so i got a new psu, problem fixed.

also i was able to get into bios and it shows 11.XX volts on the 12 volt rail and all of the voltages are substantially lower than normal but it was like this before the porblem started happening
also i was able to get into bios and it shows 11.XX volts on the 12 volt rail and all of the voltages are substantially lower than normal but it was like this before the porblem started happening
I think you need a new PSU, and stop by office max and pick up some compressed air and blow the dust out of your system

So this doesn't explain why the Video card fan is going at full speed when the screen goes black.
