Is direct X 10 the only reason my pc got a score of 6661 in 3dmark06 on XP, but a score of 8280 on Vista?Direct X

Perhaps your XP has a problem.
Possibly, and it seems to run fine on my vista install, dxdiag says all direct x 10 files are isntalled correctly, unless its not using direct x 10 of course, no worries, i still use xp for games because vista doesnt seem to like playing them very much!
