Recommend me a PSU

Hey guys, I built myself my first computer about 2 weeks ago, and I had no idea that a good PSU was important in a computer. My build consists of:Gigabyte GA-935P-S3 MoboOCZ DDR2 800Mhz Platinum (2x512)Intel Celeron D 347 3.06 @ 3.6 (just to last me until a strong Core 2 Duo with price drop in july)BFG Geforce 7950GT OC 256mbThen i got around reading and everyone keeps emphasizing the imporantance of a strong PSU, while i'm running on the stock PSU that came with my $50 case... So can anyone recommend me a good PSU? My budget is about $90-100CND and the closest and cheapest PC parts shop i know is Canada Computers. If someone can pick one from that site it would be great... Also, will a $100 PSU be good for my rig when i update to a core 2 duo? Should i hold out and save up a little more? Or is $90-100 sufficient? CND of course :) Recommend me a PSU

Great, that one seems to be instock in my location. Can someone just quickly explain how a poor PSU can effect a system?
Low quality power supplies can generally die within a year, or even months.. When a power supply dies, there's a possibility of it taking other components down with it... like it could fry the CPU or something.
I see... and how much lifespan do these $100 PSU's provide? Also another bad thing about my stock PSU is that I have no 4pin imputs for fans! One went to my DVD, one to my Sata since it doesn't come with Sata power, and two went to my GPU as it had a 6 pin to 2x4pin converter... Hehe well thanks for the help! ;)
It's all about luck. You could get a power supply that lasts you 5 years, or one that lasts you maybe a year or two.Generally higher quality power supplies last very long though, my old Antec True Power power supply in my P4 system is still going after 4 years. :)
Get the Antec TruePower Trio 550w.
Hehe hopefully i'm lucky then.. Well thanks for the help, i'll go pick it up tomorrow.

Haha yea i know, quite sad eh? I needed a running computer for school right away, and since some intel price drops will be around $300, i figured i would survive the wait.. I first thought i would get the Q6600 when the price drops but the core 2 duos aren't even being fully utilized yet, so i'll prolly get E6750 or E6600... Dont hate on me to much... at least the celeron is working? lol
