What's the difference bettwen DDR1, 2, and now 3?

topic^What's the difference bettwen DDR1, 2, and now 3?
DDR = 184-pins, used to be the standard. Speeds from 266MHz-500MHz (effective).
DDR2 = 240-pins, now the standard. Speeds from 400MHz-1250MHz (effective).DDR3 = 240-pins (cannot be used WITH DDR2), new but not even close to becoming standard. Speeds from 800MHz-1600MHz (effective). What's the difference bettwen DDR1, 2, and now 3?
basically DDR2 has higher frequencies than DDR which result in better performance. The DDR3 has higher frequencies than DDR2 but its latencies(response time) make it a bad deal and put it below DDR2 in some cases. DDR2=winner of 2007.next year though i think Q3 we should DDR3 kick in to high gear.
