With all of the new parts I'm getting for my new PC, the one I'm not sure of is the power supply. I'll be running the Extreme Edition Intel 6700 and two 768mb 8800 GTX's in SLi. Would an 850w power supply be enough for that, or should I get a 1000w and be done with it. Also, will a 1000w PSU plug into a normal (Australian) power outlet without any possible side effects to power around my house, or damaging my PC? 850W/1000W Power Supply question

I would go with the 1000w supply, but also make sure whatever supply you get has a powerful enough 12v rail. Thermaltake are the psu's i reccomend. As far as plugging it in safetly, yes you can. If your monitor, speakers and pc trip a fuse in your home, being the only things plugged into an outlet, your home is not wired correctly. Damaging the pc, nope, the psu is not going to go critical and go chernobyl on you. :) But at current time. Why get 2 gtx's, 1 will let you max graphics on any games out there? If you waited you can catch a second during a price drop in a few months, save some bucks, and never have needed it. just my 2 cents
