Hello folks, I am in need of a mouse as a ****** ****** has stolen my G5. I already own a microsoft 1.1 Intellimouse SE and i like it very much and is very good for gaming, although I know there's a lot of more professional options around. Since my G5's gone, i've been thinking about 2 possibilities: Razor or microsoft. I feel like the new Razer Death Adder and I was told that it's design is pretty much like the 3.0 SE and with a powerful hardware, thus souding as the best choice. What do you think i should do?Buying a new mouse.
Get the new g5? With 2 side buttons? :P or you could chceck out microsoft's habu.Buying a new mouse.
What price point?Anyway, for really good mice, here are 2.There is the New G5
The Razer Copperhead
I have the Razer Copperhead and love it.
I have the Razer Copperhead and love it.
yea, I'm trying to pick the G5 or the Copperhead for my system. Both are extremely great. If I can't pick based on features, I'm gonna pick based on looks lol and the Copperhead wins.

Did MS team up with Razer to make this mouse too, or just the keyboard?
It's a combined effort by Razer an Microsoft, yes. But I would advise you to stay away from that mouse. I've owned one for several months, and while it is very comfortable, I cannot get the drivers working (or the firmware updated) for the life of me. If you're going to buy a mouse, I'd say it's between the new revision of the G5 (two thumb buttons) and the Razer Death Adder myself.
While this topic is about getting a new mouse, I'll post here. My MX518 just died and I've been looking at Razer mice, but my question is, how does the Death Adder compare to the Copperhead? Their shape is different (one is symmetrical and the other isn't) and their price tags are pretty close. Any reason for Razer having two top-notch mice and confuse people?

The Death Adder uses an infrared sensor and only goes up to 1800 D.P.I. Other than the asymmetrical bit, I believe they're pretty much identical to each other. Personally, I'd go for the Death Adder as it is much more comfortable and I rarely raise my D.P.I. over 1600.

Another question: the ''0mg raz3r 5yn4ps3'' onboard memory on the Copperhead does anything or is it just marketing (smells like it)?

So if you use your buddies computer to play a game, and you bring your Copperhead along (for whatever strange reason), all your gaming profiles will be saved and ready to go as soon as you plug it in.
Thanks for the help RayvinAzn :) guess it's the Deathadder for me since I don't carry my mouse with me everywhere lol.
I believe it does anyway - something like 5 profiles maybe?
Well guys, I think G5 is a very good mouse indeed. I still thinking my Intellimouse 1.1 SE is good as well as worked much better than i had expected. However, after my G5 has been stolen, I have been facying a new experience with mice. I have to agree with you that G5 is an extraordinary mouse and all the features work very well, no complaints about that. The brand new Death Adder brings interesting features as the onboard memory for 5 setups and the new infrared sensor. So a innovative hardware, different from the remake of G5 with 2 thumb buttoms.Another choice which my cousins have been willing me for is the Microsoft Intellimouse 4.0 with 3.0 design, arguing that's the best choice ever. Personally, it must be, although the hardware stills old in comparison with G5 and Death Adder. Here's the link for tec specs:http://www.razerzone.com/index.php?main_page=product_info%26cPath=2%26products_id=43
