any suggestions?check out my overclock and advice me please
If you dont have good cooling you shouldnt over clock. Also why would you need to Oc with that rig?
i'm using stock coolers, and reason for overclock?? i dunno i guess i want a powerful pc?anyways i'm confused with the ram timing, anyone got suggestions?
I dont know much about OCing RAM but I think its harder to have lower timings if you increase the FSB..But yeah.. theres no real need to OC your PC
sorry, do u mean harder as in, if u can get 4,4,4,12, i should use it??i'm tryin to get over the 10k mark in 3dmark,, lol, its pointless but ey,,
RAM set to 350GHz? That's impossible. :PYou must mean 350MHz, in which you underclocked the RAM, correct? Definitely try lowering the timings and test for stability with Prime95 or Orthos. As for the guy that said you shouldn't overclock with stock cooling, he has no idea what he is talking about.
I'd suggest taking a look at this...http://forumz.tomshardware.com/hardware/Core2Duo-Overclocking-Guide-v1-ftopict197995.html
What are the rated specs for the ram at stock (800) cause you are only running it at 700. So is 5-5-5-15 is what they list for 800 you PROBABLY could tighten them up a little bit.My ram is rated for 5-5-5-15 @ 1066, well I am running at @ 712 with 3-3-3-9 timings, gave me a 200 point increase in 3D mark over stock.

Why do you think people water cool or buy better coolers hmmmmmm....
Yeah you obviously have no idea what you are talking about. Some apps/games don't like overclocked processors or video cards? LOLShortens the life? Not really.. even if he increases the CPU voltage to the max that the motherboard can handle, the processor would still last at least 5 years.. most likely even longer and by then it'll be so outdated that he'd want a new one.Oh, and people buy third-party coolers because they want to overclock even further since stock cooling has a limit to how far you can overclock... or they just like having low temperatures.
When you overclock memory is does the same thing as cpus, video cards, itwill shortens the life hmmm more stress, and heateven if he ups his cpu or other thingsit will shorten its life it could died within 10 mins you dont know, it might last2 years if hes lucky. Now if he doing a little overclocking on cpu or video like 100 mhz ok but on memory thats a big no if he dont have heatsinks on them if he oc's to much or his case dont have theenough cooling. When memory overheats things happen like crashs, rebooting and even fry. Dont tellI dont know what im talking about!!!
I don't feel like reading that, so I'm just gonna say.Yeah you obviously have no idea what you are talking about.
well i put it to 4.4.4.12. timing, just need to see if its stable,,,,

hey, does anyone know of a program i can use to overclock my 8800 in vista???i've tried several but non seem to work in vista,, anyone sucessfully used any???
ATiTool.

Value ram usualy don't have heatsink and nobody wants them if your gona overclock. And then he has lowered the speed of the ram from 800 to 700Mhz, so that shouldnt hurt them at all.
ATiTool.
Don't you need catalyst drivers for Atitool?
