(No keyboard, monitor, or mouse)Reccomendations for building/buying?
why do you want 2gb RAM if you don't use photoshop or play games and by my guess you don't do video editing either, 1gb should do you fine4 DIMM slots are pretty much standard on motherboards.DVD burners are useally only ?0 than DVD-ROMs (not sure in america but probably about $10) so you can easily have oneHow much hard drive space do you need, if you don't know what do you use it forIf you are on a tight budget and don't need much performance X2 is probably bestIs this price including OS or not?Reccomendations for building/buying?
at a quick estimat on newegg you should be able to get a PC to your specs for $600 easy
at a quick estimat on newegg you should be able to get a PC to your specs for $600 easy
600$? I dont think so. if he doesnt want to play games, yeah, but if he wants to play games at all, he should get an 8600GT, or if he's too cheap, get an 8500GT
what about the 7600gt that was about $100free2forum, what do you want this PC for anyway?
what about the 7600gt that was about $100free2forum, what do you want this PC for anyway?
the 7600GT will perform better, but the 8500GT is DX10, so vista might run better. I could be wrong though.
The under 700 (Vista included but not monitor, mouse,or keyboard) is for word processing, powerpoint, internet, music, and sending pics to friends thru AIM. I'm iffy on 1 gig because I will probably be running a lot of the applications above at once. I barely use lots of hard-drive space so less space means less money. btw is $150 a lot for a case?
Check out the compaq portion of HP. You can build a presario with those specs for around that price.
