Building a PC, just a few questions (honest)

Hi, I'm stepping up from a console to a pc and i want to start with a bang, but i have a few questions i need answering first, if you don't mind of course :D1. Will a Quad - Core processors bring any noticable difference in games?2. Is their any point in running 2 8800 GTX's in SLi?3. How much RAM will i need?4. Does having two OS' installed cause performance problems?5. What kind of a hit does Vista cause on games?Thank you all for your help :DBuilding a PC, just a few questions (honest)
I'll answer the best I can...1. Not really... most games arent even optimised for 2 core2. Not really... a single GTX will max out anything for a while yet3. 2GB is fine4. Not that I know of... maybe longer boot up times?5. Not sure... youre gonna need it if you want DX10 thoughBuilding a PC, just a few questions (honest)
currently, Quad Cores will bring (arguably) little to no performance to current games.

no real point to two GTXs, SLI isnt really all its cracked up to be. someone else could add a little more to this, ive never had SLI.

you will want to get 2GB of RAM, if you are running a 32 bit operating system, your computer can only support 4GB of memory overall, that means RAM and videocards included. 64 bit OS can have as much memory as you want.

two OSs will cause no problems, just partition your harddrive, or install each OS on sepperate harddrives.

if you are planning to build a beefy computer, Vista shouldnt be a problem. when i used it on the PC in my sig it ran games like a champ, didnt get any benchmarks to see XP vs. Vista side by side on an identical computer.
I had a dual boot configuration, and the only reason there are longer boot times is because you're spending time choosing what OS you want to boot
