I play games like Guild Wars and World of Warcraft and I am buying a laptop for college. The problem is that my budget is under $1,000. Where should I go for a semi ''gaming'' laptop? Would the laptop in the link below work okay? Could I buy one and upgrade the graphics card?http://www.circuitcity.com/ssm/HP-Pavilion-15-4-Widescreen-Notebook-PC-DV6449US/sem/rpsm/oid/184836/catOid/-12963/rpem/ccd/productDetail.dobuying a laptop for college but i want it to play games....
That seems like a good deal for a laptop, although the processor is kinda slow for gaming (maybe low to midrange gaming) and I couldnt find anywhere were it says the actual gpu chip, just 559 shared (shared vram is terrible!), I wouldn't really count on using that for playing any games that are very recent. As far as the upgrading the video card, thats not very viable. The only thing that I can thing of is the ASUS XG station, but that has no release date and will be expensive, and not deliver that great of perfromance.
