Can anyone recommend me a good PCI graphics Card?

For good gaming. Like running Doom 3. I only have PCI Slots on my motherboard and I'm not upgrading until next year, so can anyone recommend me a good PCI card that can run games like Grand theft auto:san andreas, counter strike source, doom 3, and world of warcraft? thanks. Can anyone recommend me a good PCI graphics Card?
I dunno if you'll find, but i can find fx5200 128mb card for PCI or radeon 9250 128mb PCI, but those two are already outdated for 3 years. I'm sure they will run GTA:SA and WOW but i am not sure for CSS and Doom3 because i have never played themCan anyone recommend me a good PCI graphics Card?
are you talking about this?http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814133007its in my budget and i saw it before you posted it so it must be good. is this the one?
It will run GTA and WoW, but nothing else. That videocard is obsolete and will not run anything more recent than Unreal 2k4 at a decent setting...Hate to say it but there is no life left in PCI graphics.
well it will run ok your games, but you will see, that the image quality will be bad, because it's the lowest end of cards, that are really bad. Can you say anything about your CPU and RAM so that I/we see if it's even worth buying, if your PC won't bottleneck it.
512 mb of ram, but i think i will upgrade to 1 gb ram. P4BGL-MX motherboard.
ok, well 512mb of ram isn't that bad for those games. What's the processor?
is this the processor? 2.42 ghz
awesome. Then i think you are ready. Now if you take this card: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814103031You will run those games quite well :)
so what's the best game i can play with it?
Call of Juarez, Call of duty 2, CSS, even Far cry (low-med) Oblivation for sure, (on low) and some other stuff. It will hold you on with no problems untill next year.
I actually will have 1gb of ram soon. Will that affect the perfomance of this video card?

Sorta but PCi cards arent too powerfull dont expect good performance. the X1550 is the best for PCi tho and thats the best you will get.
how will it affect my perfomance? i know it sounds dumb but i heard that you need to get a video card that is close to your ram. will the affect be bad? and i only have pci slots but people tell me that this video card will last me through the year?

[/QUOTE]Wrong. An IGP such as an Xpress200 will outrun just about any plain PCI video card, that bus is so slow that it levels out all performance gains of the last three video graphics generations. You can have an FX 5200, a GF 6200, an X1300, X1550, and all are going to start out being too slow for Oblivion, named above, and across PCI, there will be almost no difference among them! Far Cry is far less demanding on video requirements than Oblivion. I have no idea what requirements Call of Juarez wants for video, but plain PC was left behind nearly ten years ago when AGP1 appeared. Anyway, you'll never play Crysis with a slow X1300 (and the X1550 is just one of those with a slight tune-up and a new name).
