I ask this because I am buying a new laptop from Dell and I want Windows XP on my laptop as opposed to windows vista. Does a free upgrade mean that it comes with windows xp and you can upgrade later on your own time, or that it comes with some crappy version of windows vista? And also if it does come with windows vista is it possible for me to install my own copy of windows xp? The reason this is a problem is because I have a 500 dollar off coupon that only seems to work when I get vista on my machine.What does a free upgrade to Vista mean?
