52 amps will be able to run next generation card more then likely.
i have a 600w psu at the minute with a rating of 30a on the 12v line, is this ok for the card to run with stability?

yeah more than enough amps, and what a rariety someone knew to post the amps when asking about a power supply, can someone check if hell froze over lol.
yeah more than enough amps, and what a rariety someone knew to post the amps when asking about a power supply, can someone check if hell froze over lol.
The real rarity is someone that actually understands what the current ratings for the +12V rail actually means.A current draw of 52 amps with a 12 volt input will produce more power than the total 600 watt rating of the power supply. That makes the 52 amp rating a meaningless marketing ploy.Look through the spec sheet for that power supply and you'll find the real world power available to the +12V rail(s) in the 30A - 40A range. Still a respectable amount of power, but not more than the total amount the power supply is capable of producing.
