7600GT for BF games

my friend just got 2142 , after playing it at my house. he enjoyed it and got the game. since he wants the settings a little higher he was looking for a new GPU. he has a 100 bucks so i recommend him the 7600GT. now i had this card before but i had when i only had BF 2, which it maxed out just about. i dont know how it will be for BF 2142....i checked GS tech file on the game,it seems it doesnt decent. what u guys think?7600GT for BF games
The 7600GT can max both Battlefield 2 and Battlefield 2142 @ 1280x1024.BF2142 is basically a BF2 mod, so it's not more demanding.Maybe he should spend just a bit more and grab the 8600GT.. particularly the overclocked MSI 8600GT for $125 on Newegg. :P7600GT for BF games

I am running a 7600 GT XXX, 1 gig of ram and a +3500. I can only run BF2 at medium (2 AA) at 12 x 10 though I get good frame rates (nothing below 28). Is my system under performing?
I have an X2 4600+, 2GBs of RAM, and a 7600GT and I run Battlefield 21 on max @ 1280x1024 with 4x AA.I get 40-60 FPS average as well.Oh, mines clocked at 650/785 (1570 effective) though.

And the X1600Pro is significantly slower than a 7600GT too. 25 FPS average is pretty amazing for your card.. >_>

we get taxed alot in California from Newegg. I had set-up this liste of Specs that i was going to buy off of newegg. it comes out to 820.The tax though is almost near 80 dollars i understand shipping though. i wish our state didnt have all these tax laws! arh!! anywho how do u think 1gb ram, amd 3800, with possbily a 7600GT will do for 2142? near max.... cause hes a console person and doesnt really want to spend moeny on a pc.
